Chef Michael Lamping’s career spans over 3 decades in the hospitality industry focused on country clubs and member satisfaction. His humble begins started as a dishwasher which led to his chef’s appreciation at Bellerive Country Club in St. Louis, MO his hometown. Here Michael trained, honing his skills and created his passion for the club industry.
After 12 years of service, earning the Chef de Cuisine position and competing over 25 times locally and national, Michael excepted the position of Executive Chef for the membership of Lake Quivia Country Club, located right outside the Kanas City metro.
Here, he recreated the dining and service needs of LQCC, mentored several young chefs through their appreciations and representing Kansas and the USA at the Culinary Olympics (IKA) in Erfurt Germany during the fall of 2016.
In mid-2020 Michael and his wife Misdy made the decision to relocate to the Dallas area, excepting the position of the Executive Chef of Dallas Athletic Club. Michael has enjoyed the past 3 1/2 years and really considered Dallas home. He is currently working towards earning a position as a Chef for Team USA 2028. The national culinary team, sponsored by the American Culinary Federation, representing the United States in 2028 at the Culinary Olympics in Stuttgart Germany.
In Michael’s free time he enjoys the company of his two rescue dogs, outdoor adventures, and most recently has found an appreciation for flyfishing.
